We Didnt Intend To Be Disrespectful - Baba Jamal

Deputy Minister of Information, Baba Jamal says he and his colleague, Okudzeto Ablakwa did not intend to be disrespectful towards the Andanis and has assured them of governments relentless efforts in finding the killers of the late Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na Yakubu Andani II. The Andani youth in Ashaiman have threatened to go on a demonstration on November 25, if the two Deputy Ministers for Information do not render an unqualified apology to the Andani family in Dagbon. The family at a meeting in Ashaiman resolved to march to the Ministry of Information on the said date to deal with the two Deputy Ministers over what they describe as derogatory remarks from the two government appointees to the Andani family. The two Deputy Ministers incurred the wrath of the Andani family in Dagbon when they said government would not succumb to pressure by the Andani youth to arrest the killers of the late Ya-Naa Yakubu Andani II. Speaking in an interview on Citi FM, Baba Jamal laid blame at the doorstep of a private-owned Ghanaian website for misconstruing statements he made on Peace FM, an Accra-based commercial radio station a couple of days ago. He called on the Andani youth to exercise patience since murders cases sometimes take a considerable amount of time to be completely solved. It is important for them to be calm and allow us to go through investigation and that is what we promised them. As I talk to you now, there are ongoing investigationsNDC is not running away from the responsibility of finding the killersI am saying categorically that we have not said anything untoward if anyone is feeling offended, we dont intend to be disrespectful he added.
