T-Blaze, Kokovelli, Samini, K.K. Fosu To Unite @Joy FM Nite with The Stars

Hiplife Trinity, Kokovelli, Batman (Samini) and K.K. Fosu are set to perform together for the first time in six years at this years Joy FM Nite with the Stars. The last time the trio mounted the stage to perform before their unexpected and dramatic split was in 2005. Speaking on Dive Time on Joy 99.7 FM with Bola Ray, Kokovelli born Nathaniel Totimeh confirmed that for the first time, Samini and K.K. Fosu will mount the same stage to perform together at the show on November 26 at the Accra International Conference Centre. The two were reported to have had a bad blood between them a major contributory factor to the demise of the trinity. Kokovelli said the wait is now over and that, the time is now right to rekindle the greeny days of their dominance on the Ghanaian music scene - a period they excited Ghanaians with the hit song Zaza. Asked what he, together with K.K. Fosu and Samini, was bringing to the table after years of absence, Kokovelli promised that fans should expect nothing less the evergreen trio will be on stage on the night, he stressed. He urged fans especially the ladies to come witness the re-enactment of the famous zaza dance. As preparations towards this years much anticipated Nite with the Stars reaches crescendo, several hiplife greats have pledged a never to be forgotten event. This years event puts icing on the old skuul bringing back lost music moments mixed with authentic rap. One can never reminisce the early years of hiplife music without the mention of heroic names such as Obrafour, Kokoveli, Batman (now Samini), K.K. Fosu, Buk Bak, T Blaze and a host of others. Other speakers on the show, Ronnie Coches of Buk Bak, and T-Blaze said their adrenaline levels have never been this high and that for those who thought they have lost their flavour should come again. Ronnie Coches urged fans to come to the show watch us do something theyve never seen before.
