Nana Akomea Has Absolutely No Understanding, Hes Always Clueless- Stan Dogbe

A Presidential Aide, Stanislav Xoese Dogbe, has hit back at the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea, describing him as clueless and ignorant of pressing issues swirling around him. Stan Dogbe was reacting to comments by Nana Akomea that President John Evans Atta Mills does not walk the talk and is largely a hypocrite. The NPP MP was said to have made the remarks in a interview with Citi FMs parliamentary correspondent Richard Sky. President Mills, on Friday, November 18th, threw a challenge to fellow African leaders who still kowtow to their colonial masters, to take bold steps to untie the dependency umbilical cords, and take their destinies into their own hands instead of allowing foreign interests to interfere with their internal affairs. Addressing the African Diplomatic Corps in Ottawa, as part of a four-day working visit to Canada, President Mills minced no words that the pursuit of different agendas by African leaders, rather than a unified one, with loss of focus had often left the continent with little progress and development. However, the NPPs Communications Director believes President Mills call on African countries to be assertive smacks of hypocrisy and double standards, since he goes cup in hand seeking help from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other donor agencies. But in a sharp riposte on Citi FM, Stan Dogbe, who is also a member of the NDCs Communication Team accused Nana Akomea of hoping from radio station to radio station with this same line of argument which quite clearly portrays him as somebody who does not have an understanding of the issues that are at play. I think that Nana Akomea has absolutely no understanding, hes always clueless about things, hes clueless about diplomacy, hes clueless about economy and hes clueless even about the policies of this country. According to him, what President Mills said is a statement of fact and has nothing to do with double standards, adding that seeking financial support from the IMF does not necessarily mean that one does not want to take charge of his or her destiny.
