�The Hole-In-Heart Charity Concert in Gh� scheduled for 25th, 26th and 27th November 2011 in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi respectively, have been postponed to due to technical issues.
The concerts which were being organized to raise funds for children with hole in heart conditions have to be rescheduled to enable the organizers ample time for preparation in order to meet the technical needs of the international artiste, Nkulee Dube, daughter of the late Lucky Dube.
RAM Media Concepts, organizers of the "Hole-in-Heart Charity Concert in GH" however remains optimistic that the event will be a success. Event coordinator, Augustine Mark of RAM Media Concepts says with a target of GH100, 000.00 the event needs more adjustments to be able to hit the target.
"We hope the postponement will help us inform the public of the importance of the event and also increase the level of publicity to enable the expected fans to prepare for these concerts", Mr. Augustine Mark intimated.
The concerts which will feature Ghana's sensational Blakk Rasta, Nana Fynn, Fiifi Selah and King Ayisoba among others has therefore been postponed to 10th, 11th and 12th February, 2012 in Accra, Kumasi Takoradi.
The event which was launch in Accra on 9th November 2011 at the Maxlot Hotel was aimed at raising funds for children suffering from hole in heart conditions whose parents cannot raise the needed funds for their surgery. At the press launch, the Events Coordinator, Augustine Mark hinted the establishment of a fund which will provide funding for children whose parents cannot afford the cost of operation.
He noted that many Ghanaian children suffering from hole in heart conditions go through pain, psychological trauma and agony while their parents go round soliciting for funds to cater for their operation.
According to him, some of the children may even not want to appear on television begging for money for their surgical operations if they have a choice. He said the development of a fund which would have money readily available for such unexpected life threatening occurrences could minimize the burden on such children as well as their parents.
The Event Coordinator informed journalists that the fund when established will be administered by Ghanaian musicians and agencies within the health ministry adding that its important Ghanaians realize the contribution of musicians towards social development.
Country Director of Goge Africa and Assistant Coordinator of The hole in heart charity concert, Mr. Seth Nii Amarh Ashitey said the establishment of the fund will save lot of Ghanaian children from the pains and humiliation they go through before their operations are carried out.
According to him, the fund when established will be devoid of race, gender, political views or religious background. He called on all Ghanaians to support the concerts to be able to raise the needed funds to support hole in heart children.
