Sports Analyst Slams GFA

A sports analyst, Christopher Opoku, has condemned the Ghana FA and Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic for not doing enough to assure local fans the national team is capable of winning the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. According to him, Stevanovics inability to stay in Ghana to watch the local games and his employers failure to put him right constitute bad planning. The Metro Tv head of sports believes there are so many players in the local league currently who are far better than the ones the Serbian has invited for the friendlies and also in line for places in the squad. The GFA has suddenly failed to plan properly to win the Nations Cup in 2012 by refusing to allow local based players to have a feel of what it is to be part of international set up, Mr. Opoku said. He added: Calling players in Europe who hardly get play time in their club and leaving out the local players, I think Goran Stevanovic has got it terribly wrong and he has been unbelievably lazy and his employers has been very relaxed and the sooner they sort things out the better.
