Ghana To Deploy 'One Goal Project At 2012 AFCON

Ghanaians will have to make do with the renowned One Goal Project to ensure success of the Black Stars at next years Africa Cup of Nations, Goran Stevanovic says. The Black Stars in the last two tournaments it has participated in have had to rely heavily on their defensive prowess with nothing much going for them at the other end. Consecutive one-goal scoring margins keeping football fans on the edge of their seats throughout games is what has brought success so far for the Black Stars in recent times. And this tactic according to its Serbian trainer would not be altered as long as the team wins despite declaring his ambition to turn the Ghana team into an entertaining, attacking machine upon assumption of the post. The aim is to always score one goal more than our opponent, Stevanovic told GHANAsoccernet.com. I dont have a problem with that so far as we are winning. Ghana opens its account to win its first African title in 30-years in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea with a tricky tie against tournament debutatants, Botswana on January 24. The Black Stars will then round of its group games against Mali and Guinea on 28 January and 1 February respectively.
