Ministry of Youth To Work Out Attractive Package for �Bukom Banku�

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, has promised to work out an attractive package for Braimah �Bukom Banku� Kamoko, the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa Light Heavyweight Champion for being named the 2011 WBO Africa Boxer of the Year. Clement Kofi Humado, Minister of Youth and Sports disclosed this to the press when Kamoko presented his award to him on Tuesday in Accra. The Minister said his outfit will officially write to President John Atta Mills to brief him on the success of the boxer and the need to plan an event to formally recognize his role in boxing circles in the country. �The Ministry will definitely get back to you to inform you of the package we have for you. You will definitely hear from us by the middle of January, next year. "We will organize a befitting event to recognize your efforts and present to you an attractive package for lifting high the flag of Ghana�. Kofi Humado stated. He described Kamoko as a unique boxer who combines a lot of humour with dedication and commitment in the dispensation of his duty in the ring. The Minister said �boxers like you are hard to come by. You don't just talk but walk the talk as well. �Your commitment and dedication is admirable and there is no doubt that you have become a role model for the youth. The nation is proud of your achievements�. He stated. 'Bukom Banku' expressed appreciation to his management team � Golden Mike Boxing Promotions for investing in his career. He thank the minister for the promise and said the award will serve as a source of motivation for him to achieve further laurels in his boxing career adding that he is eying the world title very soon. The World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF) Light Heavyweight Champion said the nation is now starving of world titles and he is determined to restore that glory by the close of 2012. Kamoko, who is the number contender for the WBO title, said winning the world title has been his long cherished dream and will step up his training to realize that target.
