Black Stars To Play Chile In A Friendly In New York

Ghana will play Chile in an international friendly in February next year, says coach of the South American country. According to coach Claudio Borghi the match will be played in the American city of New York on 29 February. This means the match will be played two weeks after the Africa Cup of Nations ends in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. Chileans have been crying for the Black Stars to travel to Santiago to play the game but the distance and high cost involved means they have to stick to America. I would have loved to play in Chile, but the costs are too high to bring them (the staff of Ghana), the coach of the Chilean team Claudio Borghi said. So New York is a possibility and we will go with the best we have, he said. If the Ghana FA agrees to play the match it will the first match for the Black Stars in New York where they have a massive following especially in Bronx. A huge attendance will be seen if the game is played in New York as Ghana fans in that city have been starved of Black Stars action.
