Hearts Of Oak Sign Seven(7) New Players

Former Africa Club Continental Champions Accra Hearts of Oak in their quest to boost their chances of reclaiming the Glo Premier League this season have signed seven(7) new players on Friday before the close of the transfer window. A member of the clubs recruitment committee in an interview disclosed the players from five (5) different clubs to Peace Fm. Their dream of equaling 21st league title record with their bitterest rival Asante Kotoko receives a major boost ahead of the second round with the signing of Dansoman based Liberty professionals prolific striker; James Kwame Abban. Mercurial midfielders also in the bag are former Asante Kotoko players; Haruna Ganiyu and, Edward Affum. From the north is Iddrisu Moro from Real Tamale United (RTU). The rest are Sadat Karim from Berekum Chelsea, Philemon McCarthy of Hearts of Oak and Ahmed Soulama from Etoile Filante Burkina Faso. Six of the seven players have all been signed on for a 3-year period except Liberty�s James Kwame Abban who signed a 2-and-a half year contract. According to the club management led by Chief Executive Officer Fred Crentsil, they are still in talks with former national star Laryea Kingson and Emmanuel Baffour of New Edubiase to all sign for the former continental club masters. Friday January 20, 2012 is the deadline for registration for the transfer window.
