O.B Amoah Backs Goran Stevanovic To Stay As Ghana coach

A former deputy Minister for Youth and Sports under the erstwhile Kufuor administration, O. B Amoah, has dismissed calls for the termination of the appointment of the Black Stars coach, Goran Stevanovic. His call comes after a member of the Black Stars Management Committee, Yaw Boateng Gyan, stated that the Serbian should consider himself sacked. Speaking to Citi News in an interview, Mr. Amoah said such pronouncements could scare off potential football coaches from taking over the affairs of the Black Stars. Pressure is mounting on Stevanovic to resign following the four-time African champions defeat to Zambia at the semi-final stage of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations. The coach prior to the tournament categorically stated that he will resign if he fails to lift a fifth Africa cup for the Black Stars after a 30-year trophy drought.
