NDC Women Pay Homage To Alfred Woyome

NDC Womens Organizers in the Volta Region are the latest NDC group within the ruling party to visit businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome. The Women arrived at his residence in Accra on Wednesday this week to solidarise with him in the wake of the brouhaha surrounding the judgment debt paid to him following the ruling of an Accra High Court (Commercial Division) In a move that has been widely condemned, Alfred Woyome was arrested by state security and placed in police custody over a matter that is still pending in court. This has drawn the ire of many of the partys grassroots supporters who perceive that the businessman was being victimized by some faceless people within the government who simply want to show him where power lies. Since his release on bail, party footsoldiers and identifiable groups within the NDC have been trooping to his residence on a daily basis to solidarise with him. The Volta Region Womens Organizers told the businessman that they had come to solidarise with him and assured him of their moral support in his hour of tribulation. They paid homage to him for his contribution to the party in the region, recalling how he always was with them and was quick to release his hard earned money for party work. We cannot forget that you were the only one, right from the partys days in opposition who constantly visited us, planned with us Madam Abaya, the North Tongu Womens Organiser who is the leader of the group that visited the businessman said. Reports have it that party supporters from the Upper West and East as well as the Northern Region are also on their way to also solidarise with Alfred Woyome. Reports that his house has been placed under surveillance have done little to deter NDC grassroots from trooping into Mr. Woyomes home to solidarise with him.
