Of course they have to reschedule, what are you going to review, the E-levy or what? No finance minister worth the sort will bank his or her hopes in a tax that can easily be avoided legally, more knowing very well people are not happy with the tax in the first place. If i don't send money to another person electronically, i won't pay E-levy, it's legal and simple. Ghanaians have been paying taxes since the colonial era. Unfortunately when people pay tax for sometime and still don't see any positive change in their socio-economic wellbeing they will do all they can to avoid tax. The lifestyle of our so called politicians is what is making people to agitate. You know the country's finances are not good, yet you can go ahead to subsidize V8 vehicles for MP's. You gave 100,000.00 dollars each to 275 MP's to buy V8's and government is to absorb 60% ie 60,000.00 dollars of the amount meaning the MP's will only pay 40,000.00 dollars. Did the people force anybody to stand for MP elections? Which vehicles did they use to campaign during the elections or they were campaigning on foot. Why can't they use 20,000- 30,000 vehicles but V8? If you don't have enough water in your bucket, you use it to wash your face and legs, if you attempt to bath with it you will end up with soap all over the body without water to rinse yourself, and that is the IMF we are running to seeking bail, why rent expensive jets when the very people you claim to represent their interests are suffering, why pay big salaries to a few people and still add exgratia when their term ends, why stop payment of tolls when 70% of your roads are in bad shape and now rely on E-levy to fix the roads, how will you ensure that long vehicles from Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger whose vehicles come to our ports to load heavy goods contribute to our roads maintenance. Why will government insists on paying 97 pesewas ( not up to GHC 1) to caterers to provide a hot meal for pupils in basic schools. Is there any politician in this country who gives 97 pesewas to their children most of whom are in international schools when they are going to school? . What Ghana's so called politicians fail to realize is that we elected them to be president, minister, deputy minister, MP, MMDCE. They didn't elect us to qualify to be voters. They better be careful, if these so called politicians were to know what's on the minds of the people they won't be misbehaving. Ghanaians are peeved, they feel cheated by a few, they feel shortchanged, they feel being ***barred word***. The so called politicians should know that if the presidency, minister, deputy minister, MP, MMDCE, CEO and ambassador were to be occupied through an examination, none, not one of them currently occupying these positions will come near, not 1. Currently Ghana is a clear case of George Owell's ***barred word*** FARM. I wish this man had lived to see all he said in his books happening in a country called GHANA. Political office good, all other public sector jobs, bad. If all Ghanaians begin to enter politics who will teach, who will farm, who will take care of patients when they are sick, who will vote for who, who will the police, soldier, prison officer, immigration, fire service, etc. if all people begin trade na who go buy? asked ( Prince Nico Mbarga),
