The Akufo-Addo administration re-invigorated local textile manufacturer, Akosombo Textiles Limited, at the time the business had no plan of recovery in 2018, management has said in a video documentary.
The Chief Executive Officer, Kofi Boateng says the business is getting revived after partnering government’s Free SHS Policy.
ATL was engaged by the Ministry of Education to produce school cloth for second-cycle institutions, a contract that has given the company a leap.
In a Facebook Post by the Jubilee House said the overarching impact of the Free SHS policy cannot be overemphasized.
” The benefits derived from the implementation of the Free SHS policy are not limited to equitable access to quality education alone. There are several Ghanaian companies that have been given lifelines through the implementation of this policy.
“Akosombo Textiles Limited (ATL) has benefited immensely from the Free SHS policy through a conscious decision by the current administration to strengthen existing companies whiles building new ones.”
