Mr Samuel Aye- Paye, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayensuano Constituency in the Eastern Region has called on Ghanaians to abide by all the health directives given to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
He made the call in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Otoase, one of the communities in the Constituency after he had presented several veronica buckets, nose and mouth masks, cartons of hand sanitizers, liquid soaps, cartons of tissue papers, gloves and ten gun thermometers to members of the Ayensuano District Assembly for distribution to people in the Constituency.
Mr Aye-Paye advised the people to wash their hands with clean water and use hand sanitizers after washing their hands and put on nose and mouth mask.
Mr Aye- Paye called on commercial vehicle drivers in the Constituency to be law abiding and respect the directives on the number of passengers they were permitted to take in their vehicles and ensure the passengers wore mouth and nose mask.
The MP advised school children in the area to keep to the time for lessons on the radio and television to learn what they missed as schools remain closed.
He commended the press for their efforts in keeping both urban and rural dwellers informed on the coronavirus and what needed to be done to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
