President John Mahama has pleaded with Ghanaians especially the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to forgive all the people who unjustifiably vilified the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
He urged Ghanaians to emulate the generosity of the spirit that was characteristic of the life of the late president Mills and forgive those who vilified him.
Addressing thousands of Ghanaians who had converged at the Efua Sutherland Park to commemorate the One Week remembrance of Professor Mills, President Mahama reiterated that the former president was a man of peace with a forgiving heart.
"Vengeance is of God and people must resist the temptation to retaliate the vilification president Mills suffered,"the president added.
President Mahama also called on Ghanaians to diligently support him especially because the task placed on him is tedious for a young and feeble person like him.
He added that his leadership has also set the tone from the younger generation to demonstrate to the older generation that they are capable and responsible.
