The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Global Intelligence and Security Analysis Center, Samuel Nana Appiah Owusu says President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo deserves some commendation for the bold decisions he took during the early stages of Coronavirus in Ghana.
“We [Ghanaians] should be grateful, especially on how Ghana has dealt with this Coronavirus in the past weeks. Security, health workers among others have been exceptional in this fight, thanks to our President,” the retired police officer told host Mac Jerry Osei Agyemang on NEAT FM’s evening political show, ‘The Torch Light’
He explained that Ghana is “far ahead” of some developed countries in the fight to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Samuel Nana Appiah Owusu also argued that claims that the president’s decisions worsened the COVID-19 cases in Ghana are “unfortunate”.
“Our President’s measures actually protected the citizens from this deadly virus. The closure of borders, quarantine of travellers from overseas, and lockdown in some parts of the country have been extremely helpful,” he noted.
Adding that “Ghanaians should be grateful to have had a bold leader who can take hard decisions to save the country at critical moments.”

This is really true! If he was in opposition, we would have heard some of the most worthless comments a sane human being can ever make. Remember his comments when Ebola broke out in West Africa?? What would the sitting president have done with 1550 cases and a carelessly talking opposition leader???
This president has no clue except plagiarism. Not bold enough to take questions when given the opportunity- simply because he does not what to say. Very pathetic a president who claims to be human rights lawyer- maybe that is also borrowed as per a former first lady claim that he is not a qualified shiiiit. A chicken blacl would black no matter what. Now it is no secret that anybody can be president in Ghana.
Global icon who cannot engage the media and answer questions extempore on COVID 19, but only read from prepared speech full of plagiarism. If he is really an icon let him face the media and answer questions put to him on COVID 19. Even Trump is better than him. I don't understand why people are doing everything to make him what he is not. People mistake speeches for action and progress. But plan or blueprint is nothing until it is fully implemented. The man came and said "we know how to bring the economy back, but what we don't know is how to bring back human lives". Just few days after saying this when many people commended him, he happens to be the first African president to sacrifice lockdown for the economy that he claims he knows how to bring back. His quote now is "we know how to bring back lives, but what we don't know is how to bring back the economy". What a pathetic president, very phony and treacherous!
THE BOLD AND COURAGEOUS DECISIONS OF AKUFO ADDO HAVE SAVED GHANA FROM SERIOUS HARM. HIS CALL TO KEEP HIGH DEGREE OF PERSONAL HYGIENE, BAN ON SOCIAL GATHERINGS, CLOSING OF BOARDERS, THE ENFORCING AND THE LIFTING OF PARTIAL LOCKDOWNS HAVE ALL BEEN PRECISE AND ACCURATE IN DEALING WITH THE CRISIS OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN GHANA. HE DOES NOT KOWTOW TO INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL PRESSURES. HIS DECISIONS, SO FAR, HAVE KEPT THE NATION IN GOOD SHAPE. ANY OTHER DECISIONS WOULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. SOME HAS FAILED TO SEE THE WISDOM IN LIFTING THE THE PARTIAL LOCKDOWN IN ACCRA AND KUMASI. HOWEVER, ANY LEVEL-HEADED PERSON CANNOT IGNORE TO APPRECIATE IT. BEFORE LIFTING THE BAN, THERE WERE ALWAYS SOME BAD NEWS AT SOME PLACE IN THE RESTRICTED AREAS RELATING TO THE LOCKDOWN. THE EXERCISE ALSO PUT THE LIVES OF OUR SECURITY FORCES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT WORKERS IN DANGER AS THEY BECAME MORE EXPOSED TO THE PEOPLE WHO COULD BE INFECTED. THERE WAS CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF RESISTANCE AND LACK OF COOPERATION. ANY EXTENSION OF THE PARTIAL LOCKDOWN, AT THAT POINT, WOULD HAVE DEFEATED ITS INTENDED PURPOSE. IT IS OBVIOUS THEN THAT THE CRITICISM OF THE LIFTING OF THE LOCKDOWN IS MADE OUT OF MISCHIEFFF OR IGNORANCEEEE. GHANA MUST BE GRATEFUL TO GOD FOR THE GIFT OF AKUFFO ADDO. TODAY, EVERY AFRICAN IS PROUD OF THEIR HERITAGE BECAUSE THEY CAN IDENTIFIED WITH THE GHANAIAN PRESIDENT, AKUFO ADDO, WHO IS INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED FOR HIS, WISDOM PRAGMATISM AND STATESMANSHIP.
