Hmmmmmmm, I heard driver fatigue on the part of the fuel tanker driver caused this accident. According to reports the fuel tanker driver fell asleep whiles driving and veered off into the lane of the passenger bus. One can thus attribute human error to this accident. We know fuel tanker vehicles at most carry two passengers i.e. The driver and his mate so there was no pressure from any passenger pushing to get to their destination on time. As to why the fuel tanker driver failed to take a rest is difficult to understand. I remember sometime in the Rawlings regime long vehicles/ fuel tankers were allowed to drive on the roads from 6:00am to 6:00pm. These vehicles were made to park anywhere they got to at 6:00pm to continue at 6:00am the following morning. It's high time the authorities revisit this directive. We can't continue to experience needless loss of lives on our roads. The unpardonable thing is that 66 years after independence we can't still dualize the roads linking our regional capitals especially those that experience heavy traffic. Why won't people believe that if Ghana was still under colonial rule things would have been much better. After all today South Africa is more developed than Ghana due to because the white man have been in charge for a long time. Eg in 2010 they successfully hosted the World Cup , if Ghana were to bid for the World Cup hell will break loose in Ghana , today politicians/ wealthy business men in Ghana go to South Africa when they fall sick. I doubt whether any South African will come to Ghana for their health care needs. Today it's accident on the Accra-Kumasi road, the next day it's Kintampo to Tamale, another day it's Accra to cape coast/ Takoradi. How long will this continue? A leader is what Ghana needs, we may have president's but we are yet to have a leader.
