Mr Thomas Mensah, Chairman of Amasaman Co-operative Transport Society, has called on the Amasaman Municipal Assembly and the Department of Feeder Roads to rehabilitate roads in the area, to facilitate socio-economic activities.
Mr Mensah in an interview with GNA said the bad nature of roads was affecting agriculture activities and trade.
He mentioned Obom, Kwadjo Ashong, Doblo, Ashalaja, Amasaman, Obeyeyiyie, Nsankyinaa, Oduman, and Afuaman as the most affected communities.
Mr Mensah said vehicle owners spent too much on spare parts and many of the vehicles had stopped plying the roads.
Mr Mohammed Abdulai, Secretary of the Society, also speaking to GNA, called on government to assist the association to rehabilitate the Amasaman main lorry park, to enable the assembly to generate more revenue for development.
