The Minister of the Interior has on the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by the Executive Instrument renewed the Curfew imposed on Nakpanduri Township and its Environs including Kpatritinga, Bonbila, Borgni Boatarrigu, and 5akogu communities with effect from Friday 29th August, 2014.
The curfew period is from 10:00pm to 4:00am.
Government urges Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.
Meanwhile, there is a total ban on all persons in the Nakpanduri Township and Environs including Kpatritinga, Bonbila, Borgni Boatarrigu and 5akogu communities from carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapon, and any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.
