Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara arrived in Accra on Thursday for a one-day visit during which he would have a closed-door meeting with President John Evans Atta Mills and meet a section of the Ivorian Community in Ghana.
The plane carrying President Ouattara and his delegation touched down at the Kotoka International Airport at 0950 hours.He was met by President Mills, government officials, ministers of state and military and police commanders.The Ivorian President was welcomed with military honours and traditional drumming and dancing.
Ms Dora Abena Shitor, a nine-year old pupil of Rangoon Camp 2 Primary School at Cantonments, presented President Ouattara with a bouquet.
President Ouattara will lay a wreath at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and address the Ivorian community in Ghana. Ghana and Cote d�Ivoire would also sign an agreement with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) relating to Ivorian refugees in Ghana.
President Ouattara returns home later in the day.
