The Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie has called for a forensic audit into the alleged lavish spending by a deputy Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Hannah Bissiw, who won the NDCs Tano South constituency primary over the weekend.
Mr. Kuranchie, a critic of the minister claimed she enticed and coerced the delegates with money to give her the nod. According to him, Bissiw spent so much putting up an office for the party, infrastructure at some schools and on her campaign ahead of the primary.
He challenged Bissiw to tell the public how much she spent on putting up her own private residence within three years of the NDCs stay in office.
The editor said the NPP candidate will give Bissiw a run for her money in the 2012 general elections. Nonetheless, Mr. Kuranchie commended Bissiw on her victory.
