The National Democratic Congress (NDC) began its 20th anniversary celebration with Muslim prayers throughout the country on Friday.
All the regions and constituencies will organise their own programmes to mark the anniversary on Saturday, June 9 to be followed by thanksgiving service throughout the country to round up the anniversary celebration on Sunday June 10.
A statement issued in Accra on Friday by Mr George Lawson, Deputy General Secretary, Operations and copied to Ghana News Agency said: "The National Secretariat of NDC urges all NDC members, supporters and sympathisers to endeavour to participate in all the activities lined up for the celebration as part of the overall preparations towards our collective victory in Election 2012".
"We should all remember that the NDC continues to cherish the ideals of the party, Probity, Accountability and Transparency, ideals, without which we cannot transform this country and lift it to the next level of development."
