Political parties and other stakeholders have been urged help address the unacceptably high number of spoilt ballots during every election.
Mr Moses Kwame Donkor, Tafo-Pankrono Constituency Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said there should be more voter education to help the people to become conversant with the voting procedure.
Making the call through the GNA in Kumasi, he said it was not enough to get the people to turn out in their numbers to vote but to ensure that they did the right thing.
Mr Donkor said the parties need to have space on the campaign platform to assist their supporters to have better a understanding of the proper way to thumbprint and fold the ballot paper and that the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) should also help in that direction.
He also appealed to the Electoral Commission (EC) not to be complacent but to continue to remain diligent to assure all of a transparent and credible election whose outcome would be accepted by the contestants.
