President John Dramani Mahama has on behalf of government and the NDC apologised to the Presbytarian Church of Ghana for the recent misunderstanding over the creation of the 45 constituencies by the Electoral Commission.
He has therefore, called on all to cease fire and let peace prevail.
President Mahama rendered the apology when he addressed the chiefs and people of Akwapim in the Eastern Region to climax this year's Odwira Festival at Akropong.
He also called on all those who disagree with the EC over the creation of the 45 constituencies to allow Parliament, the Judiciary and the Electoral Commission to execute their constitutionally mandated duties.
