A Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Samuel Awuku, has strongly rubbished a publication by the οΏ½InformerοΏ½ Newspaper claiming that the partyοΏ½s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo was in seventh heaven following the arrest of John Kumah, Spokesperson of the Young Patriots, a youth wing of the NPP.
He described the story as total rubbish, adding that the pro-government newspaper has proven beyond every doubt that it cannot be relied on for any credible piece of information.
The newspaper, in its Friday edition, alleged that οΏ½Akufo Addo and his team have been very happy at the arrest of John Kumah, a member of the NPPοΏ½s Communications Team, who is a staunch loyalist of Mr. Alan Kyerematen for allegedly forging grant documentsοΏ½.
But Sammy Awuku laughed off the claims in an interview on Okay FMοΏ½s Ade Akye Abia morning show, wondering where the newspaper saw Nana Akufo Addo in a jubilant mood.
οΏ½οΏ½the Informer newspaper is noted for publications that can never stand under the spotlight, their stories can always never be substantiatedοΏ½their editor shows a clean pair of heels when challengedοΏ½they are always publishing lies about the NPP in order to curry favor with the President Mahama administration,οΏ½ he said.
