Back-from-jail Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie has expressed gratitude to imprisoned youth he met while serving his 10-day prison sentence in the Volta Region.
He told journalists that the support and assistance given him by some of the inmates whose names he only gave as Mr Avulete and Kalusha has demystified the perception that Ghana has been polarized on ethnic lines.
The assistance that was given me made me realize that we are one nation after all, he said on Thursday, when he showed himself to supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) at its headquarters in Accra.
I want to say that the Volta Region is now my second home, he announced.
I am proud to be a Voltarian.
He pointed out that it was beautiful to have been moved from the Nsawam Maximum Prisons to the Ho Central Prison and then to the Kete Krachi Prison in the Volta Region.
I thank the people of the Volta Region very much.
