The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set March 2014 for its national delegate congress.
General Secretary of the party, Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie in an interview with Citi News indicated that since time is of essence as far as these elections are concerned it is necessary that the congress ends by March 2014.
According to him, this is to demonstrate to the world that the NPP is ready to tackle the challenges of the 2016 head-on. And so, we will position ourselves clearly by having these elections done, ending the elections of the national executives committee in March 2014.
He also revealed that a meeting on Tuesday would determine when to begin elections for branch and ward executives before the National Congress.
