Assembly members of the Offinso Municipal Assembly (OMA) have pledged their support for their Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Baffour Kesse-Amankwa.
This was contained in a statement signed by 34 out of 39 assembly members, including the Presiding Member (PM), Mr Prempeh Pambour.
In a statement dubbed "Offinso Declaration January 2014, the members resolved to chart a new course to sustainable development.
According to the members, the MCEs achievements within two years of stewardship were highly commendable.
The assembly members cited the MCE's pro-poor and bottom-up investment policies to transform the Offinso Municipality.
The members assured the MCE of their loyalty, stating that the days of petty squabbles, politicisation of issues, destructive criticisms and unfounded allegations are over, and that henceforth, their criticisms would rather be constructive to develop the municipality.
The members stressed that the interest of the municipality would be paramount in their discourse.
