Music indeed has the ability to soothe the soul and offer relief to people in times of happiness and of sorrow.
In times of sorrow, particularly during funeral ceremonies, dirges are usually sung to commiserate with the victims whereas some songs are offered during festivities to provide entertainment for an audience.
The latter was basically the scene near Abrante spot at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra, as Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng mounted the podium to kick-start his campaign for the flagbearership slot in his party.
During the launch of the campaign for Alan Kyeremateng's candidacy, the former Trade and Industry Minister took time to serenade the supporters who gathered at the venue.
With a bass voice mixed with a bit of soprano, the flagbearer aspirant of the NPP did not waste any time at all as he lifted his eyes to his Maker and sung about four songs to imprint his imagery in the minds of his supporters.
Mr. Alan Kyeremateng turned the scene into a gospel arena and sang songs such as "Winner" and "All other Gods", as part of his campaign plans to ascend to the throne of the flagbearer in the NPP, come October 18th this year.
One may though wonder if this was another "Gospel fest" coming up but indeed Mr. Alan Kyeremateng really has a way of canvassing for votes from the masses.
And certainly he chose this platform for a course.
