Voting to elect a parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2016 elections in the North Tongu constituency has been postponed.
This follows an injunction by Christopher Kofi Eleblu, an aspirant to suspend the primary in the area.
Kofi Eleblu was disqualified by the NDC National Petition Review Committee on October 14, 2015, on grounds that he had reportedly been arraigned before an Accra High Court (Financial Division) for defrauding the State to the tune of GH¢646, 000.00.
Following his disqualification, Mr. Eleblu appealed an Accra High Court to place an injunction on the primary until the final verdict of the court on his case was determined.
