Unknown gunmen wielding high powered riffles have opened gunshots at a crowd at an Electoral commission office in Tamale, Northern Regional Capital
The crowd were at the metropolitan office of the Commission to engage in the votes transfer exercise when the incident happened.
It is unclear reasons for the gunshots but Kasapa News has gathered that the two main political parties attempted to stop some students from the University for Development Studies(UDS) from engaging in the exercise.
There is no records of casualty but NPP Tamale South Constituency organizer ,Mr. Shariff claimed two person have been badly injured.
The process has been suspended indefinitely following the clashes and armed personnel are keeping guard at the commission’so office.
