President John Dramani Mahama has said no President in the world will physically put cash in people's pockets.
He however explained that, it is the duty of the president and government to create opportunities for its people to make money, adding that the ruling government has initiated several projects which are already putting money in people's pockets.
Addressing party supporters at Kakasunanka Number One in the Kpone-Katamanso District on his second day tour of the Greater Accra Region, the President said, no president will line up people to offer them physical cash without doing any work and that the Bible even admonishes people to work hard and earn money to cater for their family.
"Don't expect money to drop from the sky without any hard work. You need to take advantage of the opportunities created and make money yourself," President Mahama advised the supporters.
He noted that the NPP leader and his running mate are going round promising what the NDC is already implementing.
He said the Youth Employment Agency and Youth Enterprise Fund have engaged about 40,000 youth to offer them skills and training to enable them set up their own businesses.
President Mahama once again advised his fellow contender, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo to unite his party before seeking the mandate of Ghanaians.
President Mahama said there was no way a man who had succeeded in dividing his party by vilifying and suspending people who criticize or question his leadership style, can assume the reins of this country.
The Member of Parliament for the area and Greater Accra Regional Minister, Joseph Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, accused the running mate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia of deliberately supervising the monumental change of the country's currency for their selfish interests .
The president earlier visited Osuwem, Dodowa and Afienya where he promised to expedite processes on rehabilitating the deteriorating Dodowa-Afienya to Shai Hills, Asutsuare junction-Osuwem and Afienya-Dawhenya roads before rounding up his day two Greater Accra Regional tour at Kakasunanka No One.

The President said he will put money in our pocket in 2017 if voted into power. Mr.President for 8yrs u have increase workers salary for only 10% and workers are poorer under your Government.
How much did the air force planes cost and why did president mills asked for commission of enquires to investigate the purchase of the planes
. So you are training 40,000 people to take up jobs or establish their own businesses. Mr President, what happened to the graduates who are better trained with huge state resources? Can you state any of the numerous opportunities you claim to have created and how anybody can access them? Mr President, don't put salt in our wounds. #What_A_John?
Yes my Prez no gov't will put money into any body's pocket but the economic policies of the Prez would do so. But you have run down Ghana's economy to the extent that one's capital is fast depreciating. Pensioners are being sent early into their graves.
John Mahama is a double tongue person. He must confess to killing Prof Mills otherwise nothing will work for him. Ghanaians must vote massively against this wicked, dangerous and eV!1 person called John Mahama. A few weeks ago you were talking about putting money in people's pocket from 2017 when you win. Why the u turn? Confused president....
These are symptoms of desperation blended with incompetence. At one time you promise to "put money in our pockets, only to turn round and say "nobody can do that"? If this is not mad*ness then it must be witchcraft.
Oh Mr. President, I'm forced to believe that you've completely sold your conscience, and that it is no longer controlling your actions. Remember that Ghanaians now have LONG MEMORY because we remember every single statement you ignorantly make. we are more awake than we used to be. You'll be condemned politically by your own words. Remember again that; when you govern on a foundation of lies, it collapses on you. My peace of advice to you is that "VOTE FOR NANA ADDO and don't waste your vote.
But a good government will create an enabling environment for private sector to operate to employ the plenty unemployed graduates to earn a living.
