Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has condemned the conduct of some youth believed to be supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who are taking over state institutions.
According to him, the act do not only cause fear and panic in the country, but also create disaffection for the government.
“I think if you are the President of a country, it is important for your followers to know that you are President for all and not for one party and so for the supporters to go on rampage and destroy state resources, I think it is unfortunate and needs to be condemned,” he said on Kasapa FM.
Two days after the swearing in of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, some young men believed to be NPP supporters attempted to take over the Passport Office in Accra, the office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and some other state institutions including toll booths and public toilets across the country.
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) and National Disaster Management Office (NADMO) in Sagnerigu district in Tamale were put under lock and key. The workers were barred from entering their offices. It took the presence of Tamale police officers for sanity to prevail.
The situation at Bodi in the Western Region was the same. Some NPP youth forced their way into the offices of the National Health Insurance (NHIS) in the district to assault some staff and destroyed properties of the institution.
Kwesi Pratt describing the act as senseless indicated that it was illegal for supporters to seize public facilities because of a change of government and called on law enforcement agencies to bring perpetrators to book.

Eei Uncle Kwesi so u dey? I miss you rough. By the way hope you will make some sensible contributions this time.
Mr. Pratt, please 🤐 it
On what basis should they take the law into their own hands. I am very shocked that upon all the advice given by the leadership of the party to desist from such despicable acts, they still perpetrate them. BY THE WAY , WAS KWESI PRATT IN A RAT HOLE, OR ON ADMISSION AT AN UNKNOWN HOSPITAL? He was very confident in saying implying that NPP would lose the election, based on the rigging machinery NDC had put in place. He should be minded that Angel from Heaven came to Ghana to ensure Nana's victory and foiled all their rigging schemes.
I hear he attempted to clandestinely return the GHC2000 he received from Wayome as his 'share' of the spoils of judgment debts but had the schock of his life as he was told by Wayome to keep the money pending the determination of the case in court. I don't think he even added interest to it, hahaha. asem oo Wayome was smart on this occasion.
Mr. Ambulance and the pollster for Opana have overcome their shock and disappointment. Man should learn not to play God. A word to the wise is always in the north.
Now the 1.d.i0.T has resurrected.I thought that this dishonest man has been cured of the disease of hypocrisy. Oh Kwei Pratt, purge yourself.
can we see kwesi pratt going to sit on the presidential seat as he did during Busia's PP era? Kwesi Pratt is just a dumb and he didnt know that posterity does exist? NPP had come and everything will turn around with people in Ghana enjoying the fruits of the land resources, and we are pretty sure Akuffo Addo will perform suitably.
see your self
We can't continue like this as a nation. However let us condemn disturbing precedent Ndc set in 2009. Even me who was not Prophet then could say this would repeat itself if there will be a change in government. Today Kwesi is talking as if he was in exile then. People who suffered then are now unemployed whiles the perpetrators became employed through this evil act.
We all agree that what the NPP footsoldiers are doing is bad, but the last person we want to hear his voice in this matter is Kwesi kankan Pratt. Kwesi, you have lost all your credibility and i will personally advice you to stop going on radio with your one-sided analysis that you have been disturbing our ears with all these years. We are tired of hearing your voice. JUST ***barred word***
