Recently, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia revealed the previous government awarded a 13.9 million dollars on the yet-to-be-completed vice presidents’ official residence at Cantonments, Accra.
Meanwhile the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the vice presidents revelation as unfortunate, as its officials challenge the figures.

The location of the building itself is a security breach. Think of where this phographer stood and took those pictures.
ASAMOAH GYANS MANSION COST ONLY 3 MILLION DOLLARS. THE NDC DON'T KNOW WHAT 13 MILLION DOLLARS IS. THANK GOD THERE IS CHANGE OF GOVERNMENT TO SEE THE REAL ROT.
by the way , where is the mansion located? looks quite a magnificent edifice and I think its worth the price. the detailed break down shows value for money and the previous NDC govt did very well for having such a vision for the 2nd gentlemen of the land and his family. How many official engagements has Nana Addo had since he became president? apart from attending the funeral of asantehaemaa, that is about it! remind me if there is any? have a great there you NPPPPPPP!!!!!!!1, Ghana is lost out big time.
Madam i dont think u pay tax, must some one tell u this building cant cost that 14m they stated before u know, cant u judge by the building. This is not propaganda, lets cal a spade by its name someone is in a single room with his wife and 3kids whiles his tax is being used for things like this and u expect the NPP to cover it up so that u will be the first to say why didnt they let ghnanaians know long time. madam go back and get some sensible for us cos this is a cheap comment. My tax is huge than my ssnit and u expect me to be mute
We are owing HNIS service providers for one whole year and yet spend these insane amounts for executive comfort . This is a huge let down by the people who are paid to make these decisions . Is it just because some people will get fat kick backs when projects like these are executed even when they know we can afford them ? We must demand answers .
@Ndoum, You should know that the Government is continuing running the state with the Budget of NDC submitted in November 2016 to February, 2017. So expected your reduction in DUBIOUS Taxes which was put on Ghanaians. Ndoum will you remember that there is 10% Tax on Petrol which was ruled by Supreme Court to be removed since 2014 Your NDC Government did NOT Remove. Some PEOPLE WILL SOON ACCOUNT FOR THAT 10% DUBIOUS TAX IN THE MONTHS COMING.
@ Esi, the question should rather be if it was coming from the former President's own pockets would he have made such a decision? so do you okay everything submitted to you without doing further checks and some comparative analysis because is coming from another so called state agency? governance it must be understood is a very serious business! Great day Esi!
I totally agree with Esi, the project cost estimate was done by AESL, a govt agency and not John mahama, we should rather be asking AESL questions if we have doubts about the cost and not John Mahama, he is not an architect, an engineer or quantity surveyor, let us be honest and stop this unnecessary propaganda. By the way Bawumia, Petrol is nearly 20 Ghana Cedis per gallon, it has gone up twice since you won the election, what are you doing about that? That is what you should be telling us! Esi kudos
LEAKING POT WHAT BAWUMIA AND NPP ARE DOING IS VERY NECESSARY. YOU CANNOT KEEP WATER IN A LEAKING POT. IT WILL ALL DRAIN OUT. NDC BY THEIR CORRUPTION HAS MADE GHANA ECONOMIC SYSTEM A LEAKING POT. THE ECONOMIC LEAKAGE MUST BE STOPPED BEFORE WE CAN STABILIZE THE ECONOMY. WHAT NPP IS DOING IS EXACTLY WHAT WAS DONE IN THE DEVELOPED WORLD TO KEEP THEIR ECONOMY STABLE FOR GROWTH. WE MUST ALL ENCOURAGE AND SUPPORT NPP TO UNCOVER THE CORRUPTION LEFT BEHIND AND LOOK FOR THE RIGHT MEANS TO STOP IT. IT IS ONLY BY THAT WE CAN KEEP GHANA SAFE.
Why would NDC award the contract to an Italian firm called Consar Ltd? Have Ghanaians become so use less that we can't build such simple houses? I say that 2 million dollars would build that house with change, considering the plot came free of charge
