National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku says the party is in full support of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s free SHS policy that will commence in September this year.
According to him, it is a vital project to undertake in order to strengthen the education system in the country.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Sammy Awuku noted that President Akufo-Addo’s vision for Ghanaians is to ensure that he leaves behind an age-long legacy that will benefit the entire population.
Addressing criticisms about funding of the free SHS, Sammy Awuku stated that he sees nothing wrong if the government decides to dip its hand in the Heritage Fund to facilitate the project and ensure its implementation this year.
He explained that though the Heritage Fund is aimed at securing future generations, it would be of no use to them if the Fund is not utilized today to benefit them in the future.
“The principle is that if you’re building a better future for the next generation, then the generation must benefit from that today because we, Ghana, always say that they’re the future leaders. When the future leaders, they don’t have opportunity to develop themselves; how can they own the future?”
Sammy Awuku welcomed the President’s initiative and the government’s quest to source money from the Heritage Fund to implement the policy, saying “if we won’t steal the money and so far as the money is Ghana’s, even if a loan we will go for to educate our citizens; we’re in full support of it…I know that the President means well. And I know the biggest legacy he wants to leave behind is to make sure that every Ghanaian child is covered when it comes to this free Senior High School.”

OH HMMMMMMMM NDC AND MAHAMA WHERE IS OUR HERITAGE FUND. WE ARE ABOUT TO GO ON PENSION. WIC KED UNBRIDLED STEA LERS.
When will we call it FUTURE. If we do not educate the children now, (today) HOW can they govern the nation tomorrow. This is not likes of SUBA, SADA and so on where FEW people in the Government chop money. This POLICY will affect my brothers example at Kedzekope in V/R. and for that matter Ghanaian children will be educated today against Tomorrow. People are AGAINST the policy because it will afford NPP popularity in the country once more. Some are saying it should be implemented in 2019 which will be appropriate. At that time too some people will say 2020 to be appropriate. Then procrastination set in here. (Vulture say tomorrow it will build its house when there is raining season. When raining season past it will forget to build any house).
Early days yet. Wonder how many NPP MPs would be caught this time in the US or UK. Probably by the time you go though halfway NDC will have majority in parliament because your MPs will be serving in jails abroad.
You sound no different. You are still living in the past. It would be better for Nana Addo to get the support of all well meaning Ghanaians, not just NPP. So the earlier to depoliticize your speeches the better. You are now in charge and what Ghanaians want from you is better performance, no comparisons. Just give to Ghanaians what you promised them to the letter otherwise you also become liars.

Call a spade a spade. The NDC government under John Mahama stole and embezzled money. Need examples?? SADA, Bus branding, Free Zones, GEDA and so on and so forth. Stay tuned!! Those who steal under this current government will be sacked and prosecuted. Mark my words!!
Akufo-Addo must halt the construction of Mahama's Schools. All in their first and second faces must be halted. They aren't appropriate for the country. Akufo-Addo must design his own schools. These would have adequate teachers flats and bungalows as well as dormitories for students. They would be sited at ideal locations.
Wise words from an energetic intelligent youth leader.. You haven't spewed any words that shows arrogance or pride, it is a calculated attempt from disgruntled illiterate minds to cause mischief.. We are solidly behind u Nana! This is a material we call President!
Waa look. Ghanaians isn't seen nothing yet. We shall hear more of such sayings from this arrogant, ethnic clan hegemonic party like the NPP. So which Govt was stealing money?
Please kindly check this Dumso thing, is coming back and stop this pride talk.
