Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu has coined a new phrase for ‘dumsor’, ‘presɔ presɔ’, which means “on and off” to taunt government for the erratic power situation being experienced across the country.
Wrapping up the Minority’s debate on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s maiden State of the Nation address in parliament on Wednesday, 1 March, the Tamale South legislator said the challenges in the energy sector were far from resolved.
“‘Dumsɔ’ has become part of some dictionary but Mr Speaker very soon we’ll have ‘presɔ presɔ’ in Ghana,” he stated.
According to him, the Minority will monitor government to make sure they have no excuse to plunge the country into darkness because the NDC invested more in the sector.
“Mr Speaker, only a few months ago, the Ghanaian people, when there was ‘dumsor’, were told it was [as a result of] incompetence [but] today it is financial and technical difficulties. It can only be in the thinking of the New Patriotic Party. Few weeks and few months ago when there were outages, we could not explain that it was as a result of technical and financial difficulties. Today, they want to hide under that shadow and say that they are competent. We will monitor and evaluate their competence in ensuring energy security for our country,” the lawmaker noted adding: “Mr Speaker, let it be said that no government in the history of Ghana has invested in the energy infrastructure more than the NDC government.”

Ghanaians are quit, 4 years is not 40 years. Let just wait and see. Definitely we will vote again. Am feel sorry for NPP, why blame NDC fix it and stop insulting. You did worst in opposition than what they are doing to Nana. Better shut upppp and fix it.
Shocking to observe that these 1diots in the NDC don't even have any shame. Their failure and outright rejection by ghanaians have not registered in their rotten brains yet. No wander they are now going to find out why they lost the elections so badly. When the electoral register is properly cleaned, we shall see where they will pass and impose these 1diots on us once again. Haven't seen such bunch of morons in one organization as is the case of NDC. ***barred word*** bad!
THIS ***barred word*** QUASHIA IS VERY IRRITATTING!!!! I DONT BLAME ANYBVODY BUT NKRUMAH FOR BRINGING PEOPLE LIKE YOU FROM DARK PITS OF COW DUNG AND SHEA NUTS INTO SUNLIGHT!!!! NO WONDER ALL THAT COMES FROM YOUR FOUL MOUTH SMELLS OF UNADULTERATED FALLUTIN!!!!
If the Hon. Iddrisu Mahama is tagging the "young" NPP government with "presor presor" when the NDC government claim to have fixed the dumsor before handing over to Nana Akufo Addo led Government, then I think the Mahama led government did a shoddy work. Why am I saying so, "To build a house for it to collapse in just two months then you wasted the taxpayers money for nothing. So revise your notes and apologize to the people of Ghana.
Good to hear from Haruna that the energy crisis is far from being resolved. It tells us all the kind of lies the NDC government told Ghanaians and the incompetence with which the power sector was managed. Gladly a competent team is in. The crisis would be solved Haruna.
Adundum Adundum man once again. What did you do to fix the crisis apart from lying to Ghanaians and always looking at women in your office.
I expected Haruna Idrisu to reason up with his experience in politics to give a fair comment by blaming the NDC government for peddling falsehood on the Energy crises. If it was true that the problem was solved we wouldn't have experience the problem now.
Haruna must shu.ut upp and go and defend his plagiarised MPhil thesis at Legon.... NDC thifsss
