Leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Alhaji Alhassan Tapsoba has said the brouhaha within the NDC as to whether former President John Dramani Mahama will lead the NDC again in 2020 is uncalled for.
According to him, no person in the NDC can force Ex-Prez Mahama to contest the presidency again in the next presidential election unless he willingly wants to do so.
Alhaji Alhassan Tapsoba noted that, the president and his spokesperson are the only persons to be confided in to communicate on his come back for the 2020 presidential elections.
“There’s anger in some members within the NDC but we must all cease fire. The argument as to whether or not President Mahama will contest again in 2020 is causing division in the NDC. But the truth is that, only two people can confirm the president’s come back. The first person is the president’s spokesperson and the president himself,” he said.
“Until these two announce the President’s come back, the brouhaha is needless,” he said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.

Mr President we are solidly behind you if you decide to run for office come 2020. It is your decision. Like you said in your speech POSTERITY will judge Ghanaians. Still JDM. We love u.
please stop fooooling. you an NPP man pretending to be NDC. who said Ghanaians lost touch with president Mahama
This man is a clever person and has plenty wisdom in him. However I believe it will be suicidal for us (NDC) if we bring Mahama back to lead the part we belong. We will loose miserably even worse than 2016. Our former Prez JD mahama have lost touch with Ghanaians and it will be a done deal for NPP. We need to be careful.
