President Nana Akufo-Addo has assured Ghanaians that the promises he made before the 2016 general elections will be honoured.
Speaking in Berlin to Ghanaians resident in Germany on Sunday June 11, Mr Akufo-Addo said: “This evening, I interacted with the Ghanaian community resident in Germany, where I, once again, reiterated my commitment to fulfilling the pledges I made to the Ghanaian people in the run-up to the 2016 elections.”
It would be recalled that former Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur had challenged the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to fulfil all the 170 promises the party made to Ghanaians ahead of the 2016 elections.
“I have been told that they have made 170 promises. They have to ensure that all those 170 promises are fulfilled so the people of Ghana can also benefit from the work that they came to do,” Mr Amissah-Arthur said while addressing party supporters at the National Democratic Congress’ 25th anniversary rally at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
However, the president reiterated his resolve to ensure that the promises came to fruition because “the fulfilment of these pledges will put our country onto the path of progress and prosperity”.

OH PEACE FM ON, WHERE IN NANA SPEECH SAID HE WAS ANSWERING WHAT PK HAS SAID OR HAD NOT SAY. TEKRA WOGYANM JOURNALISM. IT'S NOT GOOD FOR NATION BUILDING. PUBLISH SUBSTANTIVE ISSUES AND STOP INSINUATIONS.
Oh PK, has that friend who advised you not to respond to the questions now changed his mind? If yes why are not responding but asking them to fulfill. The more you keep quiet, the more Ghanaians appreciate and respect you but your public utterances turn out to be always negative to your public life.
Amissah Arthur, we have not forgotten about the questions Dr. Bawumiah ask you to answer in the round up to the general elections. You have up to date not been able to reply to the 170 odd questions. Since you are now in opposition and you have plenty of free time, would you be kind enough to set the records straight?
