Preliminary investigations into the turf war at the Electoral Commission are said to have commenced.
The Chief Justice has written officially to the Chairperson of the Commission, Charlotte Osei, to respond to the allegations leveled against her by her staff; sources disclosed.
Daily Guide has learnt that the letter from the Office of the Chief Justice was delivered last Friday.
The two other commissioners, Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku-Amankwa, have equally been written to, to react to the petitions against them, seeking their removal from office.
While the Chief Justice has reportedly begun a probe into the matter, the Editor-in-Chief of the Insight newspaper Kwesi Pratt is calling for heads to roll within the Commission.
According to him, the Commissioners have brought the integrity and image of the Commission into disrepute following their feud and have disappointed Ghanaians.
He says anyone who thinks they have an easy solution to the issue would be a liar.
Due to this, Mr. Pratt says he is sure Ghanaians would have voiced and propagated that all the 7-member Commissioners at the EC be sacked over the alleged abuse of power and corruption scandal.
“If not for some implications attached to their appointments, I would have said and Ghanaians would have propagated that all seven of them should go home. They should all go home because they didn’t help us . . . they have really disappointed us . . . " he stressed on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo'.

hypocrisy, hypocrisy
Kwesi Pratt if this your management style than you are going to fail big time in your endeavors. How do you recommend the dismissal of other Commissioners who are not involved in the mess? Massa this style of yours cannot wash in modern day management. COME AGAIN MASSA.
Kofi Kay, neither NPP or Nana did request that the EC leadership be investigated. There is also no evidence that they instigated all this. In particular note that it is no secret that NDC top brass and indeed most staff are NDC appointees whose allegiance is certainly not with the NPP. Besides it is not just some staff of the EC doing this, though they may have started it. The Commissioner and her Deputies are openly making counter accusations against each the other. Since the accusations include corruption and malfeasance why are you suggesting there be no investigation? Or that if the investigations find someone guilty they be not removed and possibly jailed? Nana is simply following the rule of Law. Does he really have a choice in this matter?
Why are we hypocrites as a people? Can't we call spade a spade? I strongly believe Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan presided over a rot at the commission. Why would there be such an impasse just because an outsider was added to the already existing commissioners who have been working since the days of Dr Afari Gyan? Common sense should tell us she is refusing to tow the norm at the commission, hence all this quagmire. In the first place were the old guards happy to have an outsider as their chair? The NPP government, especially the disposition of Nana in the studio, should be careful they don't destablise our democracy with thier bias towards the Chair of the EC. Allow objectivity to be at play. If you claim President Mahama did not follow the correct procedure in nominating and confirming the Chair, what do you think the NDC would say if you end up nominating and confirming another person. Don't open a flood gate of outmost disregard of due process because political gain and mischief, for this has never worked any where in the world. A word to the wise, they say is enough. Ghana is almost becoming a Banana Repulic. Is it the case that any one or group of lawyers or judges, especially at the Supreme court, can just get up with spurilous allegations, and petition the removal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme court and all heads start rolling? We really have to be very careful with this political despondency in our country. Thanks.
Mr. Pratt, kindly talk for yourself and not anyone, not even your children. Who cares of your views? The issue at the EC is in the hands of able and constitutionally mandated people. Do not extend your confusion to this case considering its nature and your very skewed character. As a mole in the CPP fraternity, no one can predict your next move. Please Kwesi, Ghanaians need some peace of mind.
That is has a confused and an unstable mind. His character is very dangerous.
LOOK AT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING ON PEACE FM? IF YOU GO TO RADIO GOLD ON SATURDAY YOU WILL SAY A DIFFERENT THING.WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU?FUULISSH MAN.
