Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has asked critics lambasting the Akufo-Addo administration over the decision to evict traders and artisans close to the President's private residence to stop playing on the "keyboard of people's emotion".
According to him, the critics have been clouded by their sentiments and so cannot see the logic in the government's action.
Explaining to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Kweku Baako stated that there is absolutely nothing wrong with relocating the squatters because the status of Nana Akufo-Addo has changed.
He recounted that it is prudent for Nana Addo as President to have his security revised, thus a good call if the National Security apparatus, after their security evaluation, believes the people around the President's private residence should be relocated.
Mr. Baako therefore advised the critics to reconsider their arguments saying "sentiment is not the substitute for Science. And the Science here is that the National security apparatus will take its time, assess the place; even the mere fact that the man has become President, itself; triggers a new security dynamic in that environment. But beyond the fact it’s his status should trigger a new security dynamic, consistently national security does evaluation of the environment and of the situation, not just in that corner but also within the nation”.
He pointed out that all previous Presidents worked from the presidency, they have always almost lived in their own residence of choice.
The President "stays there partially or are they suggesting we should barricade him there?" he rhetorical quizzed, adding that "even there is a law, that law will not be able to prevent the president from visiting his private residence".
What he believed should engage the minds of these critics, is the "process of relocation", particularly the compensation being handed outoto the affected occupants.
“How to manage the process of relocation is key…that’s what we should look at. But the security consideration is non-negotiable,” he said.

Kwaku practice principle. u dont have that
It is true we made them so we all keep quiet.
Kwaku, abi Boss level don Change. the deception people are not getting from our politicans are, when they are campaigning they tend to dwell with them and pretend they will be with them all the time. why did Nana Addo not tell the Galamseyers that he will abolish it when he comes to power rather he refuted allegation that they will work without fear, why would Nana Addo sit with these same slum dwellers and promise them he is the peoples man and will live with them, why would Nana Addo promise the DKM people he would retrieve their monies for them but turn around to say it is not in their manifesto. You sat with these people, bring asanka from you V8 pretend to dine with them, play cards with them etc what is the import of these action with. Deception is the word after licking your own spat you talking about security with them. I don't blame these politicians but the gullible Ghanains. Yes it is logical, these guys are threat but if you act against the tenets you preached before election and do opposite is the evil we talk about politicians, they come in sheep wool after election and devour us after taking power. We once who dined with u are security threat? Let us all keep quiet and suffer after all we made them so. Kudos Nana evict them all, with yo presido
@ KAY... Please repeat that comment in public where you can be seen in broad day light..... please
@dauda. Kwaku baako talks out of desperation! The unreasonable stance of NDC pushes him to talk not that he has a choice. As soon as the NDC learns to be reasonable Kwaku will cease talking. However, since it is never possible for the likes of Kwesi Pratt (a CPP? Never!) and Koku can never make sensible analyses expect Kwaku to talk sense to them.
what is dis ***barred word*** saying, pocket mouth ***barred word*** journalist..Noko Fio today cos dey give u small u are saying some for them,if your mother or family members where one of them will u be okay or happy??***barred word***
Babalawo, you must bow your head in shame for your provocative comment and uninformed analysis.Wy do you think former President J.J. Rawlings consolidated four bang slows at Ridge as his Residence whilst he was the president? At Trump Towers in America, as soon as Trump became the president all the immediate surrounding of that property received an upgraded security zone, so as his other private properties. So what is your beef about the president of Ghana’s upgraded security zone around his private residence? The fact that you saw the Vice President walking in London street does not mean there were no security around. Even at the hospital there full security in plain clothes guarding him. All of a sudden some Ghanaians have seized to know what has happened in Ghana and have refused to think just because they are no more in power.
Kwaku baako how much do u take as your salary from flag staff house? you must declare your assets and pay your tax from the money. How many cars were u given from Akuffo-addo to do your job,how much tax payers money do u waste everyday on security details assigned to you by akuffo-addo? if you don't do your job very well, you will be fired! remember to defend the CORRUPTION @ BOST ok?, dont't forget the public procurement corruption, make sure it is well defended.
squatters in other places have been evicted. what is it about these squatters in the president's neighbourhood? squatters anywhere must be evicted.
kay i suggest you delete this comment. its very unnecessary. do not use this medium to spew out such comments. sine when did u become a human more tan someone.
