The National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams has described as a “reckless educational policy” the double track system introduced by Akufo-Addo’s government to address the challenge with the Free Senior High School policy.
According to him, the double track system policy which will be implemented this September to ensure every student have equal access to secondary education is without any planning.
Speaking on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, Kofi Adams equated the double track system to the shift system which was abolished by the NDC government under late President Professor Evans Atta Mills.
He explained that the shift system at the time introduced truancy at the basic level.
He however wondered why Nana Addo’s government is bringing back such a system in the name of double track system at the secondary level to mess the educational sector up.
“Nana Addo’s government is messing education up . . . we are implementing reckless educational policy without any planning . . . today we have a government that is re-introducing such a system at the secondary level,” he asserted.
He reiterated that nothing seem to work in the country as it is not only the education sector which is being messed up, but the banking sector as well as the rising rate of unemployment and fuel price hikes, destabilizing a lot of people’s pockets.
“Today, GETFund cannot even award contracts or even pay contractors because the government has introduced a policy which is taking every contract. So things are not being done right and our focus should be on such things in the country and let Ghanaians know," he claimed.

NDC as a political party has no Tradition and philosophy. Their much touted or acclaimed Social Democrats is a borrowed one. Propaganda, lies, and populism have become a hallmark of the NDC. I can't remember the last time the NDC as a political party contributed ideologically and constructively to a national issue or discourse, except always struggling desperately on polemics and populism as if propaganda is the main opposition party policy. I listened to Mr. Goosie Tanoh and I said wow is this gentleman really, a member of the NDC? In the light of his intellect, credibility, and resolve to impart a positive change, I doubt, he fits in with the membership of the NDC.
Kofi Adams stop this cheap talk. Are you serious? Continue to Joke and Ghana will leave you behind. NDC be serious and appoint matured and responsible people to lead the party.Cut off Kofi Adams from the party because he has lost it.
Is this Adamu a real Ghanaian? Probably not!!
you, what do you know?
sad this is coming from a former teacher.....
LOOK AT THE PERSON TALKING,AN ORGANIZER WITH SHALLOW MIND.LEADING HIS PARTY INTO OPPOSITION AND MAKING HIS PRESIDENT A ONE TIME LEADER OF OUR GREAT COUNTRY GHANA. IN FOUR YEARS KOFI ADAMS COULD BUY SIX V8 CARS WHERE DID HE GET THAT COLLOSAL MONEY. JOHN MAHAMA FAILED IN HIS PROGRESSIVELY FREE SHS AND COULD NOT EVEN PAID FOR THE TEN THOUSAND STUDENTS.KOFI IF YOUR GOV. KNEW HOW TO DO IT JOHN MAHAMA COULD HAVE DONE BETTER.
I am surprised that NDC is always against education. I am not sure the government is forcing anybody to be part of the FREE SHS. NDC members can decide to send their children to the private SHS OR Kofi Adams and the likes who think the policy is not good can mount their platforms and tell NDC members not to take their children to the FREE SHS till NDC comes to power and build all the school infrastructure.
These are the people who wants to lead Ghana. Or they once ruled Ghana. Sadly, ***barred word*** like Kofi Adams are heroes to the ***barred word***. If a mechanism is being put in place to educate more people for free. And you do not see anything good about it, i advice you to ***barred word***. This is because you are not making any sense.
