The National Democratic Congress has descended on President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, tagging him a visionless and inept leader.
A statement dated December 4 and signed by National Communications Director, Sammy Gyamfi noted how the NPP government has paraded itself as ‘useful’ before the Ghanaian populace through deception and sham.
Touching on the projected Greater Accra Regional tour to be embarked on by President Akufo-Addo to inspect some 10 listed ‘major’ ongoing projects, the NDC said it was prudent that government duly acknowledges their predecessors for commencing them rather than take undue credit for these projects.
“Government pathetically lists ten (10) "major" projects that the President will be visiting during his tour, most of which are projects of the erstwhile NDC-Mahama Administration, and a vindication of the towering infrastructure legacy of H.E President Mahama”.
"Despite the fact that the NDC subscribes to the principle of governance being a continuum, and that successive governments must pursue projects commenced by preceding governments in line with the Directive Principles of State Policy, we believe in giving credit where credit is due. We think that successive governments have a moral duty to be fair and candid in how they appropriate credit for projects initiated and commenced by their predecessors. It was in recognition of this moral duty that the previous NDC-Mills/Mahama Administration invited former President Kufuor to the commissioning ceremony of the N1 George W. Bush Highway in February 2012, and in that same vein, we expect nothing but candor on the part of President Akufo-Addo during this tour”, portions of the statement read.
They chastised government over their inability to invest in key capital projects which can enhance employment and development in the country, tagging the regional tours embarked on by President Akufo-Addo as ‘glorification and celebration of mediocrity and a waste of taxpayers money”.
“All they can boast of is a private-owned Astro turf facility, inherited Mahama projects and a handful of insignificant projects. Though they remain the most resourced government in the history of Ghana, the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has woefully failed to invest in key capital projects which can create sustainable jobs and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of the Ghanaian. This confirms our long-held view that President Akufo-Addo is visionless, inept and a monumental failure”.

This is the very reason I voted against the NDC.Young men who have nothing but are insolent, arrogant and disrespectful to their elders!
Sammy Gyamfi is clueless and does not even know which projects his party accomplished. Wait, 2020 we shall show NDC periperi.
We study government in this country but we seem not learn anything from it. Why would someone who is supposed to speak for a party not know projects are state-funded, not party-funded. Why should that person be disturbed if another government is continuing projects started by another government? What does it mean to acknowledge, more than one government continuing projects started by its predecessor?
The next thing you hear from these ndc thugs is that nana is not paying contractors? ? If they are your projects why didn't you pay them??
This is a person who is going to make the NDC lose the next general election miserably and will bring an end to his political ambition.
You are just an arrogant guy always talking lies like most of your party executives. Just 2yrs in opposition all of you in NDC are broke hence you all open your mouth to spew lies, insults and propaganda. Ghanaians knows better you NDC executives so come 2020 we all shall see. You better learn how to talk truth and show respect. Child with sharp teeth.
Saying so with your halitosis laden mouth does not make it so.Contrary to what the NDC thinks the people of Ghana are neither st-u-p-id not blind. We can see what is going on. We feel the result of carefully thought out projects in 2 years.Maize ,yams plantain are abundant in our markets. Many kids who otherwise would be selling in the streets are going to school. Our moribund railway systems are being rehabilitated.Sure there are challenges but what has taken Mahama 8 years to strip will not take 2 years to fix.So s-h-ut the f*ck up and mumble those inane thoughts to your lobotomised followers.
