Former President John Dramani Mahama has asked the ruling New Patriotic Party not to take the ‘leniency’ of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to ‘its weakness’.
He said the NDC are experts in ‘unleashing violence’ and that if the ruling “government cannot protect our people, we will advise ourselves”
The former President was reacting to a clash that occurred at the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency (Bawaleshie Presby School polling centre ) during its by-election on Thursday which saw NPP’s Lydia Ahassan as the winner.
The NDC pulled out of the by-election after seven of its members got injured following a shooting incident at Bawaleshie Presby School polling centre. In the midst of this clash, Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram constituency, Sam George was slapped by one of the security officers.
Reacting to this while speaking to party supporters in Adaklu, Mr. Mahama said: “NDC has revolutionary rules and that when it comes to unleashing violence, nobody can beat us in unleashing violence; it is just that we midwifed Ghana’s democracy and so we must be the first to respect Ghana’s democracy and that is why we are acting as a party that is very docile and respecting the rule of law but if we believe that the government cannot protect our people…then we would have to advise ourselves”

CHILDISH JOHN JOHN MAHAMA, VERY ***barred word*** TO SPEAK THIS WAY AS A FORMER PRESIDENT.
You are indeed an incompetenttt person, you don’t even qualify to be called a statesman, go back and listen to your own speech
Mr. Ex president JM, you shouldn’t have made this comment at all, It impair your credibility. A wiseman speak wisdom to his children irrespective of hard time. You should have speak wisdom and sound more peaceful person that this chaotic speech. My little advice to you.
look at those cheering when JDM said the word violence, the very old people who cannot run 100meters... poor people..
The ndc is expect in unleashing violence ?
Any reason why the audience are sleeping at the conference? Boi. Am jus passing. Anyway OGA JM, when the D DAY comes, line up your 19 children to take the first bullets
YES , NDC CAN REALLY DO MORE...WAIT
EIIIIII JM. I KNOW YOU WERE HURT BY WHAT HAPPEND YESTERDAY BUT DONT LET ANGER TAKE PART IN YOUR GENTLE MODE. INFACT YOU NEARLY SAID ALL DIE BE DIE OR GETTING NEAR TO IT. I TELL YOU IF PROPER THINGS ARE NOT DONE WITH THIS HOODROOMS OR WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLED IT WONT BE SAFE FOR GHANA TO COME OUT CLEAN IN THE COMING ELECTIONS IN 2020. WE NOMORE HAVE KOFI ANNAN TO WORK AROUND THE CLOCK TO SAVE THIS COUNTRY. AM VERY SURPRICE I HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANY OF THE APOSTLES OF HUMAN RIGHTS. WHARE IS AKURASI AIRPORT. THE CHRISTIAN COUNCIL, PEACE COUNCIL AND ALL OF THEM. I BELIEVE IF IT WAS THE NDC WHO DID THIS BY SLAPING A SITTING MP LIKE YOU WILL HEAR THEIR BIG ENGLISH. IS PAPA J IN TOWN?
Just as you said, when the D day comes, please take the front role so that when the shots are fired, you will be the first person to kiss the bullet, I pity those who have been doing the donk3y jobs for you people ,why don’t you choose your son to be at the forefront, quess he is matured enough to take that responsibility
Whilst I am terribly disappointed with the president of the day for 'supervising' such lawlessness, to hear the immediate past president talk like this is also rather irresponsible on his part. Really where is Ghana headed? What have we done to warrant such leaders?
