The attitude of the opposition National Democratic Congress shows that they don’t want to be part of the ‘solution’ to the violence that marred the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election, according to O.B Amoah.
The government to get to the roots of the chaos that occurred at the La Bawaleshie electoral area during the by-election has set up a Commission of Inquiry chaired by Justice Emile Short.
However, the opposition NDC says the committee is just a ‘cover up’ and that nothing will come out of it.
According to them, because they don’t trust the Commission to do a very good job, they will not corporate with them.
Speaking to the issue, the Deputy Minister for Local Government, O.B Amoah, does not understand why the NDC is standing against the Commission when they are the same people calling for the perpetrators of the violence to be punished.
“I don’t understand the NDC, I believe that even though the issue could be associated with national security, there’s a larger picture…here we are we want government to deal with the process at the same time we are saying we reject it and that they are politically biased….it tells you that they (NDC) don’t want to be part of the solution. If we think the President should handle this matter, then let’s allow the process. Commission of inquiry is not only about finding people guilty…it’s also about findings,” he indicated on TV3’s ‘The Key Point’ programme.

@yaw manu should know that the Ayayaso incident did not start during the 2019 by-elections. It all started from Chrepony, Akwatia and the other places, and because NDC benefited from it and does not care what happens to Ghana, they did NOTHING about it. Even their interior minister said in one of those EVIL NDC acts that 'violence begat violence'. Do we use such people to build a nation? NDC can choose to stay away, but I can assure them that they will NEVER have their way in election violence again!
It is because NDC has benefited HUGELY from election violent and any form of violence because they were BORN OUT of violence. Mahama just REPEATED it. What the P(NDC) did to Ghananains in 1979 and 1981. They are wicked! that is why they do not like FREE SHS (free education). They loose elections in all educational institutions!
You agree that a problem needs to be resolved and want people to be part of the solution. Who created the problem and was it necessary? This is a sign of irresponsible behavior by the president. I will suggest to opposition parties to train members as s- bombers with alqeeda. Ghana is a peaceful country with shithole presidents whether NDC or NPP. We need to be above partisan politics and think of how we help the youth get better jobs and be innovative. They are our future leaders. If the president cannot manage the country he should leave the presidency instead of terrorizing and putting fear in the general public. Ghana belongs to Ghanaians and not an individual or group of greedy bastards, idiooots, who want to pay back.
Ghanaians are victims of this Parliament. The only thing we get from Parliament is the approval of more taxes to squeeze us and approval of more loans to over burden us. If they want to fight let them bring their own sons and daughters to fight for all the good things they have been enjoying. Let the politicians fight for their V8, No body should get involved.
Ghanaians should allow NDC and NPP to finish each other because they are the only problem we have now. No innocent Ghanaian should get involved.
All those who were part and root of the problem should be part of the solution for peace
