The National Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku, has hint that the National Security even uses the services of prostitutes if the need arises since the service is about intelligence gathering.
He described those who are saying National Security Operator, Bright Ernest Akomea aka 'Double' is not qualified to be a security operator as 'ignorant' and 'naive' of the operations of the National Security.
Mr. Awuku who is mounting a spirited defense for 'Double' who many describe as his ally, disclosed that different persons with different backgrounds and professions have been recruited as operatives to serve different purposes.
According to him, National Security is an institution that work with all manner of people to derive information from any outfit in the country depending on the kind of information required in a particular case.
"We have Prostitutes as National Security workers, it depends on the type of people they want to deploy on a particular job," he said.
Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, he maintained that those peddling falsehood either lack knowledge or are ignorant about the operations of the National Security.
"National Security operators can use cleaners, shoemakers, Fishermen, Blind and Crippled men as Security operators and some of this men cannot even write their names . . . that does not mean they cannot be used if they have the skills and ability to get right information for the institution," he explained.
"Their nature of work come in various ways. There are times you need a shoemaker to get certain information which a Doctor or Legon Professor cannot get. They always use people that have knowledge at their filed of work . . . and such people operate in diverse and unique ways for the institute," he added.
Mr. Awuku stressed that such argument is the most diabolic, naive and ignorant and they must not be taken serious.
'Double' has been accused by Ningo-Prampram MP, Samuel George, of being among the National Security operatives who fired gunshots towards a crowd during the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections on January, 21, 2019.
Sam George also alleged that 'Double' was a member of the pro-NPP militia group, Invincible Forces.
Bright Ernest Akomea, also known as 'Double' has debunked the claims by the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram that he was a member of the Invincible Forces before being recruited into the National Security.
However, taking his turn at the Commission, 'Double' said he joined the National Security two years ago and prior to that he had never been a member of any vigilante group.
He further indicated that "I was a mobile phone dealer prior to my recruitment".
'Double' spoke local dialect, Twi, throughout his session with the Commission of Inquiry.

Please do not confuse "SECURITY OPERATIVES" with "CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANTS" (or CI's). Trained Security Operatives may "act or dramatize" themselves as prostitutes, laborers, messengers etc, or may use "real life" prostitutes, lawyers, doctors, laborers, messengers etc. as confidential informants or CI's to obtain information or intelligence. CI's ARE NOT SECURITY OPERATIVES.
KNOWING YOU SAMMY AWUKU VERY WELL, YOU COULDN'T HAVE USED ANY OTHER EXAMPLE THAN ***barred word***, EIH BROTHERS SO YOU EMPLOY THEIR SERVICES HAHAHAHAHAHA, YOU GO CONFESS BY FIRE BY FORCE.
Mr Awuku change your diaper. you are still a baby.
The Joyfm documentary is no news. This group and it's operations are known. There's nothing secret about it. The so-called investigative work is a much-about-nothing. Joyful should rather redeem its image. Haruna Iddrisu says he has them in his pocket; that's the real deal!
@ Kwame Arhin….you are disappointed this news didn't wash. Who doesn't know where Castle is so if they are training people there is it a secrete? I am unimpressed by your write up.
see this politician too,,,,,,you talk toooo much,,,how can someone how can you train an illiterate to this professional job for just 3 weeks,,,,masa be smart
Sammy, I agree 100% with you. National security is not about speaking big English or being able to write PhD thesis. It is about being able to mingle with a cohort group (a particular group of people)to be able to extract or gather needed information which can be used to protect the nation and its citizens. Even palm wine tapers can be given 3 weeks or two weeks training (with intermittent briefing)to become national security persons. The best national security personnel are even beggars and street cleaners. Even some students in our lecture rooms are there for national security activities.
Those people employed into the National Security during the NDC era where are they from?
A number of taxi drivers plying our roads are National Security Operatives. The person you least suspect to bean operative is the person who is rather doing the work. NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE ARE BEING DISCUSSED IN THE OPEN AS IF IT IS EQUIVALENT TO SELLING KELEWELE. WE SHOULD BEWARE AS A COUNTRY.IDENTITY OF OPERATIVES SHOULD NOT BE DISCLOSED JUST LIKE THAT.
Am surprise all manner of persons one way or another have suddenly becomes security experts in this country. Those of u who que at the US embassy for Visa's let me remind you that those who sell around the area and all those who are actively engaging one way or another are all security men who works for the embassy.including taxi drivers, cleaners that to mention a few. Today, we measures our level of intelligence base on how fluent u are. Are we not ashamed of ourselves. How many degree holders, master certificate holders PHD and our professors can be counted among the rich men in our society. Have we ask ourself the educational level of Dangote, and co. Petty politics is what is retiring our progress as a nation.
