The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called an immediate IPAC meeting over the just ended 'shoddy' limited voters' registration exercise.
According to them, the exercise was fraught with challenges and poorly organized by the Electoral Commission.
Speaking on Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia' programme, General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia explained that there was a deliberate attempt by the Electoral Commission to cause confusion with the exercise as they have succeeded in doing that.
"The Electoral Commission should bury their head in shame and convene an immediate IPAC meeting so that they can listen to our concerns and have it addressed," he stressed.
The limited voters' registration exercise ended on Sunday, July 7, with a number of people calling on the Electoral Commission (EC) to extend the period to allow more people to get registered.
The exercise was conducted to offer Ghanaians who have attained 18 years since the last registration exercise, as well as those who, for one reason or another, have never registered, to do so.
However, as the exercise, which started on June 24, 2019, ended, many people who went to the various district offices of the EC and designated registration centres to register were unable to do so.

THIS IS NO NEWS. THAT IS ALL ASIDU NKETIA CAN DO. WHOU WOULD EXPECT ANYTHING DIFFERENT FROM HIM?
So is it the same EC that will preside over the 2020 general elections in which NDC will participate. If the EC is as ***barred word*** and biased as asiedu nketia is making them look then i think it is better they boycott it, rather than waste their supporters' time in going to queue and vote.
MOSQUITO, YOU'RE A PARASITE ALL YOUR ADULT LIFE, WE'VE TOLERATED YOU ENOUGH. YOU & YOUR PARTY HAVE NO LOCUS TO CALL FOR ANY IPAC MEETING. THE EC WILL CALL FOR IPAC MEETING AT THEIR OWN TIME.
WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE . ENOUGH OF THIS N O N S E N S E. FROM A COMMON PALM WINE TAPPER TO A CORRUPT MILLIONAIRE.WE ARE TIRED OF YOU.
This constant denigration of the EC Chairperson will backfire on NDC.It is un-Ghanaian to constantly attach a woman like the way Asiedu Nketia and the NDC are doing. The earlier they stop the better. I stopped listening to Oman FM and any media network belonging to Kenedy Agyapong since the day he made 'that' allegation against President Mahama and the former EC Chairperson.Since 2016,I have never listened to Kennedy Agyapong on purpose and I will never listen to him again because of what he said about a woman in public. If politics is about tearing each other in public, then lets limit it to the men and leave our mothers alone. The word to the wise...............
IPAC is not the EC's decision making body. It is only an advisory committee. It has no locus, so please come again, irr!tant
Shameful Asiedu Nketia must convene an immediate meeting an tell Ghanaians the Electoral reforms this EC has undertaken.NDC is indeed a threat to our democracy.I admonish the EC to ignore these nonentities who have lived all their lives on political power and focus on the good work the commission is doing.
This is the reality of Ofosu Ampofo's tape agenda against EC & others! NEVER allow NDC near power!
