Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the fact that the ruling government has rejected some aspects of the Justice Emile Short Commission's report means he is 'complicit'.
A white paper issued by government has rejected at least half of the findings and recommendations of the Emile Short Commission which investigated political violence in the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election. This includes the recommendation that "Bryan Acheampong be reprimanded for his ultimate responsibility as Minister in authorizing an operation of that character on a day of an election in a built up area".
They also rejected the recommendation “that the use of masked men in electoral security policing represents a deviation from standard practice in Ghana.”
In reaction to this, Sammy Gyamfi who was speaking on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' said: "As for us we are not surprised by the contents of the white paper issued by government rejecting the Emile short commission. We have been vindicated. Some of us knew president Akufo-Addo was behind the violence that occurred at Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election. This whole setting of the commission was to buy time, get the country to stop talking about the issue and in the process cover up those involved. Otherwise, why would all these big people sit and make recommendations then you come out to clear them? It shows the President is complicit in the matter"

SO WHAT DIS THE COMMISSION SUGGESTED AS PUNISHMENT FOR THE FOLLOWING: 1. THOSE WHO LIED TO CLAIMED THAT PEOPLE ARE KILLED RIGHT BEFORE THEM IN THE HOUSE. 2.THOSE WHO WERE INSULTING EVERYBODY INCLUDING AKUFFO ADDO WHO WAS NOT IN CONTEST AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ELECTION. CALLING OFF THE ELECTION WITH AN INCIDENT NEAR JUST ONE POLLING STATION. 2. BUSING AZOKA BOY FROM TAMALE TO OVERLOOK AN ELECTION IN ACCRA. 3. AMASSING OF TUGS FROM ALL ACCRA JUST FOR ONE CONSTITUENCY 4.THOSE WHO STOP SECURITY AGENTS TO INSPECT TO VERIFY OF ALLEGED GOLDING OF ARMS IN A HOUSE. HE WHO DO NO EVIL FEARS NO SEARCH. IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO. WE NEED REVIEW OF THE REPORT AND THE WHITE PAPER MUST DO JUST THAT FOR JUSTICE
