General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC), Atik Mohammed, is wondering what the Ghana Education Service (GES) intends to achieve by teaching primary 5 pupils 'dating and courtship'.
If you have a copy of the CSE document, you would have seen a section which states: "Module 4 Session 3: Relationships: friendship, dating and courtship." This module is for pupils in primary 5 (10 years). Primary six pupils will be taught fertility, pregnancy-related issues and childbirth, relationship; marriage and family life, concept of gender; norms, roles and stereotyping.
Reacting to this on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Atik Mohammed does not understand why small children will be taught dating and courtship.
"Who are they going to court?" he queried.
