The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on the president, to with immediate effect, order the arrest of the Senior Minster, Yaw Osafo Maafo for breaching the Procurement Act.
At a news conference in Accra, Monday, the General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, said the President should do this to demonstrate that no one is above the law when it comes to the fight against corruption.
According to him, the attempt to remove the the Auditor General is a deliberate move by the government to cover up the rot and the looting of public funds by the Akufo-Addo-led government.
He questioned why EOCO will invite the Auditor General, Yaw Domelovo, for questioning and granting him bail but failed to invite Mr Yaw Osafo Maafo for alleged procurement breaches.
The General Secretary also charged anti graft organizations in the country to rise up and call the government to order for the attempt to remove the Auditor General. He suspects Mr. Domelovo being chased out of office because of his strict stance against corruption irrespective of who is involved.

President Asiedu Nketia eeeeee..., just issue that order of arrest and it shall be done, with alacrity. Because they were in a COMFORTABLE LEAD, these NDC m0rons still think they are in charge of governance huh?
Asiedu Nketia is the embodiment of every bad thing in Ghana politics. If he has evidence that Senior minister is guilty, he should head to court. Another point is, the auditor general is trying to do everything to please those who awarded him the position.
OSAFO MARFO IS A KNOWN THIEVE BY THE KUFOUR ADMINISTRATION. NOW HE BEACH PROCUREMENT ACT. SEE NPP SAID CHARLLOT OSEI BREACHED THE LAW, HAD HER SACKED. OSAFO MARFO BREACHED THE ACT, WHAT HAPPENS. IF THIS HAPPEN UNDER MAHAMA ALL NOISE WOULD BE MAKE BUT FOR NANA ADDO DEEEEE WE HAVE NO RIGHT TO SAY ANYTHING HYPOCRITE PEOPLE.@@ OBIBA, KPANDO, N BIG BOYE
You seem to be menta11y ill and you need to check you start of mind asp wai.
Ghanaians have short memories about Yaw Osafo-Mafo. It was a similar thing Osafo-Mafo did and Kuffor sacked him from his cabinet and dropped him as a Minister. Since then Osafo-Mafo joined Akufo-Addo to fight to come to power with the stolen money for which reason Kuffour sacked him. I am not surprised when Akuffo-Addo has rewarded him with the Ministerial position for him to recoup his money. There is no way Akufo-Addo will touch him. Ghanaians should wake up to these NPP communicators as they are being paid well to come to defence the indefensible.
For NDC politics is primarily a means to an end and the welfare of Ghanaians is secondary.
When NDC fabricates stories and spews lies against a Minister to demand his removal, it means the Minister is performing very, very well. And that sends a shiver down the spine of the ***barred word*** called NDC, which is full of wishful thinking and cannot afford the NPP winning the political game.
Ndc will never stop amazing me. When you stiiling from Bui who got you arrested. You make ***barred word*** noise in opposition you perfom little when you co.e to power
Folks this is a serious issue. The amount of money involved in the dealings of the Senior minister is well above the threshold that the government agency can sign on its own. The transaction was with another agency but on the insistence of the Senior Minister, it was moved to his department and did not have parliamentary approval as per the law of the land. All should remember the supreme court ruling. If we will insult everyone that raises questions about this transaction, then we should all pack our bags and go home and not acknowledge the presence of the supreme court. Indeed the contract was signed to take retrospective effect which the senior minister has not challenged anywhere. The AG is just doing his work and the axe has fallen where it should fall. We have become so partisan that even upon a preponderance of evidence, we still want to support wrong doing. Why do we have a whole procurement ministry for? To stem this very thing that that has costed and is still costing us dear. Look for what we are seeing, we should accept we are a sh1t hole country. Ah why are we so wicked. I heard over the weekend how our princesses and princes are being sold on the open market in Libya and also how they are traded like commodities in the ARab lands. Don't we have any shame. Please if it is NDC, we have to sort it out. If it is NPP also, it need to be sorted out. Lets think of the country first.
