The ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) says it does not begrudge policy think-thank IMANI on its assessment of the Akufo Addo administration vis-a-vis delivery of its campaign promise but believes it has performed far better than the score given the government.
IMANI Africa has scored the Akufo-Addo government 48.78% in the delivery of its campaign promises so far.
They also scored the government 54.35% for its handling of the economy. The manifesto assessments by IMANI which was outdoored Wednesday said government has only implemented 41 out of the 162 promises it made in the party’s 2016 manifesto.
But speaking on Kasapa, Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Yaw Preko stated that the government upon assuming power has done several things to improve the lives of Ghanaians even though it never promised that in its manifesto.
He said the majority of Ghanaians who have seen a positive change in their lives since 2017 will do their assessment on what the NPP said it will do and has done.
“NPP introduced NABCo which has effectively collapsed the Unemployed Graduates Association which existed before 2017 but that was not our manifesto promise but we’ve done that. Let the youth of Ghana who stayed home for several years after school to say what NABCo has done to improve their lives. About 100,000 young graduates at least have a form of employment that never existed before the NPP came to power. Let these people assess the government and tell you what they think.”
Yaw Preko added: “Teachers and nurses who prior to the coming to power of the NPP stayed home for three years after school because an IMP programme had caused the freezing of public sector employment now have work to do. Whether this was a manifesto promise or not, they now have jobs to do. These people will assess the government and state how they feel. IMANI is entitled to its findings, but other people in other sectors see differently.”

Nana Akosua , the hate and regime change campaign right from 2017 by people who but for mischief would not like this Government to change the hitherto Guggisberian Economic foundation for the future betterment of this NATION is not surprising by the percentages being bundied about. Nana Akosua has siblings who are also parents with one or more children. If for nothing at all WOMEN in particular MUST be the ones to SHOW gratitude. Why? This gender are the most hard pressed in caring for children. They are in the majority in the poor economic bracket especially when abandoned by irresponsible husbands. But for one caring policy our dependants would have lost their chances forever. Women like you and a lot of others, more vulnerable have been save the Trauma. Is it true we are gradually moving to a cashless society? How many of your dependants have asked school fees support from you. The best you and your husband can leave your children is EDUCATION and indeed the BEST any visionary leader would like to leave a nation is an EDUCATED SOCIETY that would through many acquired talents unleash their creativity to build mother Ghana in FUTURE. Now, emancipate your mischievous minds to reality and look within discerningly and unselfishly, You will begin to appreciate the numerous GAINS So far made possible by the sacrifices of YOU and I. IMANI knew how the ASIAN TIGERS MADE IT, EVEN MODESTLY. It was through long term sustenance of National policy by a pseudo democratic governance headed mostly by BENEVOLENT DICTATORS. Nana would you allow yourself to be ruled by a benevolent dictator to eventual take away your right and freedom in pursuit of RAPID DEVELOPEMENT that we all desire? Lets count our blessings. The over ten dependants that have passed through under my care plus my kids wouldn't have been where they are today, should I be paying the over 2,500 Ghana cedi school fee per head per term. STOP THE INWARD LOOKING POSTURING and be optimistic.
Yao Preko you are a very small boy and NPP has given you money to chop so say what ever you like by defanding this corrupt NPP government, 2020 is not far
Yaw Preko your opinion is obvious. In fact IMANI has been very generous with their score. Most Ghanaians I have spoken to give this Government 30% cause people are really suffering
